Our story

From Illness to Healing: The Story Behind Dhahabi Honey

Our journey as a brand began with a deeply personal experience. At the age of 23 - I was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure.

Those months were exhausting. My blood pressure kept climbing, my medication list kept growing, and my energy was depleted. Then, someone introduced me to something I had never even heard of before: Yemeni Sidr Honey.

Rooted in the Qu'ran and Hadith, honey has always held a special place in Islamic heritage, valued for its nourishment and healing symbolism. From the very first spoonful, I was taken by its deep, caramel-like sweetness. But it wasn’t just the taste, within days I noticed I was napping less, less tired, a feeling I hadn’t felt in so long. As I kept taking it, week after week, I began to notice real changes: my blood pressure show slight improvement, and my overall health felt better.

Experiencing it first hand sparked a desire to share something meaningful. That’s when it became more than just honey to me. A natural shifaa (healing).

As the intention deepened, Dhahabi Honey was created. Dhahabi Honey is my way of sharing this blessing with others.

And as the vision grew, a close friend was drawn to the purpose behind the brand and its connection to Islamic values and joined the journey. Together we are building a brand that honours these roots, offering authentic raw honey and other superfoods.
